Process: Baumgartner's is a small historic tavern and cheese shop located on the downtown square of Monroe, WI. When designing the website, I aimed to reflect its Swiss heritage by using a header font similar to the restaurant's signage and incorporating photography of traditional Swiss cheeses. To create a chalkboard-style feel, I used darker imagery, stock illustrations, and textures that mimicked chalk writing.
